Congenital Choledochal Cyst

Abstract
|
|
|
1. Four cases of Choledochal cyst are presented and its clinical manifestation and management are briefly reviewed.
2. Choledochal cyst is generally considered to be a congenital cystic cilatation of the common bile duct.
3. Symptomatology remains most helpful diagnostic tool, since neither laboratory nor radiologic studies have to be of consistent value.
4. Treatment in most cases should be surgical drainage into duodenum or jejunum using Roux-en-Y technique.
